“One new brand of e-cigarette, whose name has not been made public, showed a more than 10-fold increase in formaldehyde levels in nine out of every 10 sets,” McCurry reports. “The device produced 1,600 micrograms of formaldehyde per 15 puffs.”

If you would have asked me if I wished I could be a non-smoker the day before I used hypnotism as a tool to become a non-smoker I would have told you that I wished it was possible, and I hoped it was possible, and that I really, really wanted to, but that I wasn’t sure if it would work for me. It did and it still does to this day.

Once upon a time I was a pack a day smoker until I switched over to a can of smokeless tobacco a day. I smoked Marlboros and Newports and I chewed Kodiak smokeless tobacco. And I kept it up for over 10 years.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but if you were smoking a pack a day like I was, any time I thought of being free of cigarettes, there was a part of my brain that kept telling me that I was not going be able to live without nicotine. My mother smoked, and I started smoking to socialize with people in high school — it’s so silly and kind of a embarrassing to think of how I started as I look back on it now.
However, a few years ago I was looking through the local newspaper and saw an advertisement for a hypnotist was travelling through town to help people quit smoking. I’d never been formally hypnotized before, and while I wasn’t skeptical, I was curious to see if it would work for me.

Who is “they”? They are are stories that I heard over and over again that having self-control towards tobacco was an act in futility.
