Hypnosis demystified: it's like having a dream in which you unlock a power, or a gift you already have but only needed to be unlocked -- and feeling this incredibly wonderful sense of confidence about yourself, because it was already in you -- now it's activated.

Dr. George Bien, well known for his elegant and simple descriptions of the power of the human mind and hypnosis once stated that: hypnosis can be described as the ability to let go in combination with relaxing with focus and purpose.

Hypnosis is a state of mind ideal for learning quickly for making changes in an instant.

This is why hypnosis works so well for people who allow hypnosis to work for them — because they allow themselves the ability to let go so that I, as the hypnotist, can guide and direct them with focus and purpose.

You can truly, honestly and totally change any aspect of your life when you access the hypnotic state.

The hypnotic process is a natural process, and it is a choice — a choice to allow yourself the pleasure of connecting inside yourself.

There is no trying, forcing, or making it happen in this process. Persons who try to make themselves go into hypnosis experience about the same amount of success as a person resisting the opportunity to experience the powerful learning state within themselves. It doesn’t help with nor does it aid in achieving the results they were hoping to attain.

There is simply allowing. Allowing yourself to experience pleasure and peace, effortlessly. Allowing yourself to experience yourself, amazingly. How to take of things once you’re in is my job, that’s what I’m here: to help you help yourself.

It’s amazing how profoundly a person’s mood changes from blah to happiness during their session.

The expression of relief and peace and a new found self-confidence and openness to opportunities is crystal clear upon the face of a client as we’re engaged in a session. It’s one of the aspects I enjoy about being a hypnotist — observing the transformation of an attitude, opinion or belief about a “problem” shift from one of near hopelessness or futility to that of crystal clear resolution and inspiration.

There’s a discovery of the mechanism which frees you through your own subconscious mind. As a hypnotist, I’m a guide or facilitator to reach that state of limitless learning and discoveries.

In hypnosis everything can be treated as the same thing — an unwanted or unproductive behavior caused by a habitual way of thinking.

Change the thinking, change the behavior. All that is required is ability to let go in order to relax with focus and purpose and to feel absolutely wonderful during the experience.

Resources waiting to be discovered, better ways to solve problems. What better way to enrich your life then to allow your own unconscious to solve your problems? When you realize your unconscious mind is paying attention to what the conscious doesn’t — through insights and understandings you’ll make discoveries you didn’t even realize to trust.

The power of your imagination

What’s the secret to success with hypnosis? I would say it’s unquestionably in the ability of the use of your imagination, focused on simple ideas during the process. Because it’s in here that exists the place where limits once believed consciously, but most often unconsciously — are replaced with healthy, powerful beliefs, ones that change your life in simply astonishing ways. Is hypnosis really magic? Not sure, but the power of the imagination and beliefs which allow to you make changes quickly, feels nothing short of it.

If your life were a book, and you were the author, how would you want your story to go? That’s the question that changed my life forever. – Amy Purdy

Nearly every person is born with two fears:

A fear of loud noises, and

a fear of falling.

The reason is simple: both are naturally built-in survival responses. All of the other fears and phobias are learned.

Typically, when a person hears a loud noise is they become startled or scared for a fraction of a second, and then almost immediately their attention is turned to and focused upon the source of the noise. Once the reason for the sound is determined, they calm down very quickly.

So how does a person “get a phobia”? Simply stated, there’s exposure to a specific stimulus, object or situation, while a shock is introduced. It’s done instantly, and often unintentionally by someone else who is well-meaning, but their method of communicating safety is done in a way that is traumatic — suddenly the fear has been installed, and the phobia is set. So the next time you are exposed to or even think about this stimulus, a post-hypnotic suggestion (be very afraid of “xyz” is triggered).

The great news is that phobias are uninstalled just as quickly as they have been installed.

When you are ready to get rid of any of these unneeded fears, call and schedule your appointment and enjoy life more than ever before

Just imagine for a moment, that sexy version of you -- she feels wonderful, doesn't she? And she's just waiting to escape those extra unneeded pounds. How they got there doesn't matter as much as knowing that your healthy, slimmer, energetic body feels absolutely wonderful.

Click here for your healthy body

In 2011, a world-renowned English hypnotist, Paul McKenna appeared on an episode of the Dr. Oz Show. On the program he had hypnotized several people from the studio audience prior to the taping so that as the show was being filmed, he could demonstrate the power of the mind to studio and tv viewers.

The program’s topic was based on hypnosis for weight loss and the following ‘rules’ were mentioned by hypnotist Paul McKenna as the reality his clients experience following weight loss hypnosis sessions.

Click here to view the Dr. Oz Show on hypnosis episode and see for yourself why Dr. Oz publicly promotes hypnosis for weight loss on his own website.

The four rules that people who don’t struggle with their weight follow unconsciously

I eat when I feel hungry!

I eat whatever I want!

I eat consciously.

Once I feel full, I stop eating.

What’s fascinating about the four rules, is that these are the rules that people who don’t struggle with their weight follow unconsciously. They don’t think about these rules, their minds simply follow these rules naturally and effortlessly.

As a hypnotist who has worked with people who wanted to lose weight for reasons that ranged from feeling better about themselves to health reasons, there’s one underlying fact that I’ve found to be the case for clients who use hypnosis as a method to successfully achieve their desired weight.

As long as you want to lose weight for you, and not because you want to do it for your spouse, or your children, or a nagging relative — your success rate increases exponentially. You will lose weight, because you know how wonderful it feels to be your healthy weight, and you really, really want this.

Just imagine how wonderful it feels when your body’s weight is perfect for you. It’s not just how great you feel as you look in the department store’s three way dressing room mirrors, or how nicely the fabric presses against your legs or tummy or rear. It’s much more fantastic because you feel great, and you look great to yourself, and this makes you happy.

I can attest to the idea that the four rules listed above will become one’s reality effortlessly when you allow yourself to let go and relax with focus and purpose in your hypnosis session. Hypnosis works wonders for weight loss when you allow yourself to experience hypnosis.

The mind will follow and consistently obey your desire in wanting to feel wonderful about yourself as it relates to your body.

So why don’t you weight what you wish you could?

The ‘problem’ most people who want to lose weight encounter in daily life is an unconscious belief which the mind has completely and totally incorporated as being “what’s real for me”.

In this case the desired, healthy weight and the current, not so happy and healthy weight that exists in the mind are not congruent. So while you might consciously want to weight what you once did, and what you will again, unconsciously your mind has locked in the weight you now weight. And you might notice that it’s a weight you always seem so come back to, even if you loss or gain weight from time to time. Because the mind has been programmed to adhere to this current weight.

For instance, you might have once been 20-70 pounds lighter. But you now find yourself at this heavier weight, and you just can’t seem to get motivated or dedicated enough to get back there again.

You may have tried everything you can “consciously” think of to get rid of the pounds, and unfortunately nothing you “try” works. So perhaps you’ve gotten to the point of almost wanting to give up, not believing it’s possible.

You want to lose that weight, yet it doesn’t budge.

How many people really want to be overweight and not feel great about themselves because of their weight? Yet once the human mind absorbs an idea to be true, it then becomes a belief (an idea wrapped in an emotion which the mind then accepts as reality).

Beliefs aren’t something that one can be easily talked out of (primarily because of how the belief was embedded into the mind in the first place), however, a hypnotist and a subject like yourself perhaps who truly wants to be rid of that limiting belief about weight can seemingly “magically” make this happen.

Find out for yourself. That sexy you is just waiting for you!

Mesmer is the person that gave us such wonderful words as “Mesmerised” and “Animal Magnetism”.

Mesmer was an interesting, and controversial, character in his day. High Society loved him and the medical community loathed him.

They loathed him NOT because he was a quack (in those days they were ALL quacks!) but because he got miraculous results that they could not get.Several years after he started practising in Vienna Mesmer moved to what was then the cultural and social centre of the world: Paris, France. The doctors there REALLY didn’t like him: not only was he loved and getting amazing results…with high profile (and high paying clients)..,he was also NOT French!

So they tried to railroad him. They asked the King for a special commission to investigate this Quack.

The King agreed. He chose three prominent men, including one Dr Guillotine (who would later invent something the King wouldn’t like so much!) and one famous American Ambassador: Benjamin Franklin. Franklin’s test was more than fair – and was one of the first examples of a truly scientific “blind trial” in history.

He got one of Mesmer’s students to “magnetise” a few trees. Then he let loose a bunch of people with “issues” to wander through the trees. Benjamin and his colleagues
kept track of which trees they touched and whether they then had the famous “convulsions” that always preceded a cure in those days.

Sure enough people got better when they touched the WRONG trees. The French Doctors were delighted: Mesmer was debunked.Jsona,

Nobody seemed to hear the lone voice of reason: Benjamin Franklin, who postulated the TRUE source of the healing power of hypnosis – it was the force of people’s imaginations
releasing some inner healing potential. It is now almost 300 years after Mesmer was born. The secret to mesmerism has been rediscovered – along with so much more!

Can you imagine that studying can be fun and that learning can lead to a life-time of pure joy? It is possible to change your beliefs and experiences about studying and get turned into learning. How?

Through hypnosis.

Chances are if you have anxiety or frustration with a certain subject in school, once upon a time someone who you considered to be an expert or an authority figure told you that you’ll always have difficulty with this subject.

It doesn’t matter if you ‘hate’ or ‘just can’t get’ math, English or science. Somewhere, sometime, someone told you something that you believed as being true. And suddenly you’ve found yourself unable to ‘get it’ no matter how much or how long you try to learn or spend studying the subject.

It’s highly likely that when this improper suggestion was given to you, it was not the intention to subject you to a life of struggle with the subject. It was only an ignorance of the person to motivate you to learn which created a seemingly inescapable reality of the opposite.

Due to the way that the human brain accepts information which embeds a belief, it can’t always be determined when this suggestion was placed into the subconscious mind — however all that matters is that when what was said was said, it was believed. And because the circumstances were ideal for the acceptance of this idea — the belief stuck. Until now.

When pursuing a deeper interest in the workings of the human brain and of the mind, you'll quickly discover that hypnosis isn't about the submission to the will of another.

Yes, a hypnotist makes suggestions to which the hypnotee responds without hesitation.

Yes, a person changes a behavior or habit effortlessly, or completely lose a phobia.

Yes, the mind makes all of the appropriate changes instantly.

But when in hypnosis or a hypnotic trance -- a person is not asleep.

The quickest way to explain this phenomenon is to demonstrate. Let’s do a quick ‘mind’ experiment.

Think of a number between one and ten. 1-10

You can pick any one of the numbers between one and ten, and you can keep changing your mind and thinking of another number, and the number you choose does not have a special meaning, it can be a random one you might not usually pick — or you can stick to the very first number that came to mind.

Now sooner or later you will notice that you are breathing, and you’ve been breathing in and out without realizing it until you brought it to your conscious awareness.

A moment ago you realized you are breathing, and so you can slow down your breathing by giving it just a little thought. And as you take deep, deeper, slow breaths – you might discover a feeling of comfort somewhere in your body. It’s as if from this moment on, you can imagine that every breath you take, takes this feeling of comfort within you and increases and multiplies and spreads. One breath at a time.

But wait, what about this number you thought of? If you chose a number between one and ten, why did you choose this number…

Now I'm sure you can imagine that great athletes like Michael Jordan, and the like know how to access flow, to go into "The Zone". And so if it's possible for them, it's possible for you.

Internal Chatter Keeps Talented Athletes From Winning – Dr. Roland A. Carlstedt, PhD, a clinical sports psychologist with Capella University in New York City presented his findings to the American Psychological Association after studying 250 athletes. He discovered that athletes who were high in hypnotic ability showed an extraordinary capability to intensely focus on the task at hand. This can pay off in great performance.

So how do you as an athlete access this powerful built-in state of mind often referred to as flow or “The Zone”?

Just consider the story and discoveries of Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, the former head of psychology at the University of Chicago. Noted for his work in happiness and creativity -Csikszentmihalyi is best known as the architect of the notion of flow.

What is flow?

According to experts, “Flow is the mental state of operation in which the person is fully immersed in what he or she is doing by a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and success in the process of the activity.”

Athletes call it “The Zone.”

According to Csikszentmihalyi, flow is completely focused motivation. It’s a single-minded immersion and represents perhaps the ultimate in harnessing emotions in the service of performing and learning.

In flow the emotions are not just contained and channeled, but positive, energized, and aligned with the task at hand.

The hallmark of flow is a feeling of spontaneous joy, even rapture, while performing a task.

Can you start thinking of ways being in “Flow” could help you in particular areas of your life?

Csikszentmihalyi identified these 9 factors that accompany the “Flow” experience:

Clear goals (expectations and rules are discernible and goals are attainable and align appropriately with one’s skill set and abilities). Moreover, the challenge level and skill level should both be high.

Concentrating, a high degree of concentration on a limited field of attention (a person engaged in the activity will have the opportunity to focus and to delve deeply into it).

A loss of the feeling of self-consciousness, the merging of action and awareness.

Distorted sense of time, one’s subjective experience of time is altered.

Direct and immediate feedback (successes and failures in the course of the activity are apparent, so that behavior can be adjusted as needed).

Balance between ability level and challenge (the activity is neither too easy nor too difficult).

A sense of personal control over the situation or activity.

The activity is intrinsically rewarding, so there is an effortlessness of action.

People become absorbed in their activity, and focus of awareness is narrowed down to the activity itself, action awareness merging.

When will you discover how you go into the flow each and every time you need to? Get started as soon as possible by scheduling an appointment with the Prescott Hypnotist and you’ll discover your flow quickly.

You don’t have to spend the rest of your life “coping” with the torment of migraine symptoms. I have met with many people whose non-physiologically based migraines have ceased. And so can yours…

You know dealing with migraine symptoms is agonizing.

So why must you to be forced to accept a life of suffering with migraine pain (if you’ve been told by your doctor that there’s nothing that can be done about them except to cope with the symptoms)?

This is not acceptable, nor is it necessary.

That’s right, if your doctor has told you that there isn’t a physiological source for your migraines, there’s great news for you here today.

You don’t have to spend the rest of your life “coping” with the torment of migraine symptoms. I have met with many people whose non-physiologically based migraines have ceased. And so can yours…

It’s difficult to describe the excruciating pain a migraine unleashes upon someone — however I would say it’s like a shovel digging into their head. Some have described it as a knife being twisted through the back of the eyes and the sides of the head.

Whatever the sensation, we can undoubtedly agree that migraine symptoms are debilitating, excruciatingly painful and need to end from this moment on.

MayoClinic.com on migraine causes (genetic and environmental)

Let’s stop these migraines for one and for all.

Contact me for the “17 Minute Migraine Symptom Removal Session” and I’ll happily meet with you in Prescott for your session. I can be reached by my cell phone at (928) 710-8898, also.

The 17 minute Migraine Symptom Removal Session

There is NO CHARGE for this session at this time.

Why no charge? Because I enjoy helping people to be freed of the torture of migraine symptoms. I was fortunate to have had only a short bought with migraines when I was 19 years old — it was as if I awoke in a nightmare in which I couldn’t wake up from when they activated.

I don’t wish that pain upon anyone, and I’m happy to help you be rid of them, too.

How to prepare for your session? No matter how ridiculous or outrageous it may seem, you must simply have a desire for the migraine symptoms to end immediately and completely. That’s it. If you want them gone, and they are not due to a physiological source, according to your doctor, they will cease.

Each session begins with a guided, internally-focused technique in which you enter a deeply relaxed, amazingly peaceful state of mind naturally, quickly and completely.

At that time you will receive a verbal suggestion which results in the end of the agony of migraines immediately, once and for all. After your session you’ll feel fully rejuvenated, wonderfully refreshed and simply amazing.

No drugs, herbs, supplements or any other external remedies are used during or after your session. This is not a medical treatment. However you must have the desire to be free of migraines and slightly under 30 minutes of your time.

“I had migraines for 15 years, and since my session I haven’t had another migraine in over 4 months.” – Erica M, Prescott Arizona

My only request for compensation at this time is that after you experience a few months of being migraine-free, that you refer anyone you know to me so that they can be helped, too.

How would it feel if you could live life happy again to know confidently that migraines are a thing of the past in your life?

Call me, use the contact form, just get a hold of me. Let’s take care of that quickly.
